Hello! My name is Iman Khadir. I recently completed my undergrad in Applied Math with a minor in chemistry. During my undergrad I used NRP resources to be able to produce AI weather predictions using NVIDIA’s FourCastNet. I also used EXPANSE to optimize molecular geometry for fluorescent DNA nucleobase analogues. I am hopeful that CIP will give me stronger technical skills in submitting batch jobs, deploying kubernetes pods, and scaling ML projects using math modeling. During this fellowship I plan to take advantage of as much of the training opportunities as possible to sharpen my skills and grow in my understanding of the cyberinfrastructure landscape. I am eager to contribute to the democratization of AI weather models and allow for science to be more accessible.
