SDSU

Aram is a PhD student researcher in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at UC San Diego whose work centers on control for high-power lasers in inertial confinement fusion (ICF). His research program integrates precision metrology with robust, time-critical control to steer and synchronize multiple beams, stabilize target tracking, and harden algorithms to real-world noise and latency; advancing the reliability of laser delivery for ICF experiments. As a CIP Fellow at the San Diego Supercomputer Center, he collaborates across disciplines to translate these control methods into reproducible, HPC-ready workflows.
