The Cyberinfrastructure Professional (CIP) Fellows Program is pleased to announce the selection of its 2025 cohort of fellows. This year’s class brings together seven talented professionals from across the program’s three partner campuses — UC San Diego, San Diego State University (SDSU), and Cal State University San Bernardino (CSUSB).

The CIP Fellows Program, led by the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) at UC San Diego and supported by NSF Grant #2230127, trains and mentors interdisciplinary professionals who bridge the gap between science, engineering, and computing. Fellows receive customized training in areas such as high-performance computing (HPC), data science, AI/ML, and scientific cyberinfrastructure, while being embedded in institutional research departments where they can apply their skills in real-world settings.

Each fellow’s training plan is tailored to their background and goals, with opportunities to work on projects through NSF’s NAIRR programs.

We look forward to seeing the contributions this cohort will make to the research computing community.
